Rick Kelly last after spectacular flip at Philip Island

Rick Kelly picked up hs 1st last-place finish of his eSeries Supercars career when his #15 Castrol Ford was involved in a two-car crash that ended his race after 3 of the race’s 9 laps. The finish came in Kelly’s first start.

Due to Coronavirus, the IRL racing is illegal, so the Supercars drivers are racing virtually.

Chris Pither in the #20 Coca-Cola Holden started the race in the rear but by Turn 2 Macauley Jones in the #3 Cooldrive Distribution Holden had fallen to last after an incident with one of the Matt Stone racing entries.

On lap 4, however, Rick Kelly had to get something, and by the time he returned, his car was 50 feet in the air, doing a massive series of barrel rolls. Of course, car #15 was out.

Rounding out the Bottom 5 was JackLeBrocq in the #55 Supercheap Auto Ford, seeming to have connection problems, eventually retiring half-way through the race, Jack Smith in the #4 SCT Logistics Holden who had drama during the race, and both Lee Holdsworth and David Reynolds, the former in the #5 Bottle-O Ford and the latter in the #9 Penrite Oils Holden, after contact late in the race damaged both their cars.
