Screenshot from Supercars, edited by me
Michael Caruso picked up his 6th last-place finish of his career when his #23 Nissan Nismo/Auto Glym Nissan was involved in a two-car crash that ended his race after 48 of the race's 67 laps.  The finish came in Caruso's 298th start.

Alex Rullo in the #62 Repair Management/Castrol Holden started the race in the rear, however at turn 2 Jason Bright in the #56 Mega Bulk Fuels Ford was speared off by Macauley Jones in the #4 Drillpro Services/NBS Holden at turn 2, dropping Bright to the rear. Pitstops at the end of the second lap dropped Scott Pye in the #2 Mobil 1 HSV Racing Holden to the rear. By lap 20 Taz Douglas in the #3 Repair Management Australia Holden had fallen to last.

Douglas held last until Dale Wood in the #99 GB Galvanizing/Advan Holden pitted, dropping him to the rear. As pit-stops circulated Pye returned to the rear, then Douglas returned to the rear. Douglas held last until lap 50 when Michael Caruso in the #23 Nissan Nismo/Auto Glym Nissan was punted into the wall at turn 12 by Shae Davies in the #26 Loco Energy Drink/Davbridge Nissan, ending Caruso's race and dropping him to last on lap 52.

A pit-lane penalty for a pit-lane infringement on lap 53 left Douglas second-last. Rounding out the bottom five was Alex Rullo in the #62 Repair Management/Castrol Holden, Dale Wood in the #99 GB Galvanizing/Advan Holden and James Golding in the #31 Wilson Security Holden after a late-race spin.
