Original by superloopadl500.com.au, adjusted by me

Fabian Coulthard picked up his 13th last-place finish of his career when his #12 Shell V-Power Ford retired with Gearbox failure after 31 of the race's 32 laps. The finish came in Coulthard's 415th start.

A veteran of this series, Fabian Coulthard has been full-time for 13 years. He was 7th in Practice 1, slipped to 11th in Practice 2, but rose back to 7th in Qualifying.

Chris Pither in the #22 Coca-Cola Holden started the race in the rear after issues in qualifying and held last during the early laps.

Lap 8 saw James Courtney in the #44 Boost Mobile Holden pitted and dropped to the rear, followed by Chaz Mostert in the #25

Appliances Online/Mobil 1 Holden pitted on lap 9 and dropped to last. Rick Kelly in the #15 Castrol Ford fell to the rear on lap 11. Chris Pither in the #22 Coca-Cola Holden fell to last the following lap, with Jake Kostecki in the #34 UNIT Holden falling to last, the lap after that sees Jack Smith in the #4 SCT Logistics Holden falls to last, and finally Alex Davison in the #19

Local Legends Jerky Biltong Holden fell to last, all thanks to pitstops.

Alex Davison would relegate Chris Pither in the #22 Coca-Cola Holden to last on lap 22

Just as it seemed like Chris Pither would finish last, the gearbox failed on Fabian Coulthard's #12 Shell V-Power Ford, dropping him to last on the final lap, and he failed to finish.

Rounding out the bottom five was Jake Kostecki in the #34 UNIT Holden, Alex Davison in the #19 Local Legends Jerky Biltong Holden and Macauley Jones in the #3 Cooldrive Distribution Holden.
