Early race crash leaves LeBrocq last at Newcastle

Original by Supercars, edited by me.
Jack LeBrocq picked up his 6th last-place finish of his career when his #19 Truck Assist Holden was involved in 1 2 car crash that ended his race after 2 of the race's 95 laps. The finish came in LeBrocq's 76th start.

Jack LeBrocq is in his 2nd full-time year, running for Tekno Autosports. Despite being rookie of the year LeBrocq has really struggled in 2019. He was slowest in Practice 1, but rose to 22nd in Practice 2. He improved further to 19th in Qualifying.

Scott Pye in the #2 Winning Appliances/Mobil 1 Holden started the race in the rear after crashing in Qualifying, however off the start James Golding in the #34 Boost Mobile Holden fell to the rear, then Garry Jacobson in the #3 Rabbler.club Nissan fell to the rear.

Then, the following lap Jack LeBrocq in the #19 Truck Assist Holden and James Golding in the #34 Boost Mobile Holden collided heading into turn 6, sending LeBrocq into the outside wall, terminally damaging his car and plummeting him to last.

Rounding out the bottom five was Anton De Pasquale in the #99 Penrite Oils Holden after a Power Steering clamp failure on lap 31, losing 3 laps in repairs, Anton would eventually finish 4 laps down, James Golding in the #34 Boost Mobile Holden was spun into the fence at Turn 12 on lap 40 by Macauley Jones in the #21 Cooldrive Distribution Holden, losing 1 lap, Andre Heimgartner in the #7 Plus Fitness Nissan and Garry JAcobson in the #3 Rabble.club Nissan.
