Engine troubles leave McLaughlin last a Launceston

Scott McLaughlin picked up his 10th last-place finish of his career when his #33 Wilson Security/Valvoline Volvo finished under power, 10 laps down in the first race at Launceston Tasmania. The finish came in McLaughlin's 115th start.

Aaren Russell in the #4 Plus Fitness/Penrite Holden qualified 26th for the race, however Scott McLaughlin in the #33 Wilson Security/Valvoline Volvo suffered Engine issues before the cars arrived at the grid. McLaughlin started the race in the pit-lane and fell to the rear, limping around on the first lap, before pulling into the garage on lap 2, losing 10 laps.
