Penultimate lap incident leaves Brady Meyers last, and leading, at Philip Island

 Brady Meyers picked up the 1st last-place finish of the eSeries 2022 Pro Series when his #22 Pizza Hut Holden finished under power, on the lead lap at Philip Island.


Griffin Gardner in the #93 Penrite Ford started the race in the rear, but by the end of Lap 1, Luke Rosella in the #74 Shannons Ford had fallen to the back.

Dayne Warren in the #25 Optus/Mobil 1 Holden pitted and fell to the rear at the end of Lap 1. Jobe Stewart in the #30 Swyftx Holden pitted and fell to last.

Luke Rosella in the #74 Shannons Ford fell to last after pitting on Lap 7, then Jackson Souslin-Harlow in the #96 Automotive Superstore/tools.com Holden fell to last on Lap 9 after his pitstop, then Rosella fell to last on Lap 10, and fought with Rosella during the late stages of the race.

Last-Place was seemingly decided when Wayne Bourke in the #55 Snowy River Ford copped a pit-lane penalty, by on the penultimate lap Brady Meyers in the #22 Pizza Hut Holden went off the track and fell to last.


Rounding out the Bottom Five was Luke Rosella in the #74 Shannons Ford, Ric Kuznetsov in the #83 Shure Holden and Corey Shepherd in the #100 Repco Ford.
