Mid-Race crash leaves Emily Jones last at Long Beach

 Emily Jones picked up the 1st last-place finish of her 2021 Pro eSeries championship when she retired with Crash damage after 11 of the race's 17 laps.


Wayne Bourke in the #89 Penrite Racing Mustang started the race in the rear but soon Richard Hamstead in the #44 Boost Mobile Mustang had fallen to the rear.

Pitstops started on lap 3 with Simon Fiejl in the #83 Shure Holden pitted and fell to the rear. Lap 6 saw Josh Anderson in the #3 Cooldrive Distribution Mustang pit and fall to last.


Lap 8 saw Fawzan El-Nabi in the #62 Bathurst 1000 Boot Party Holden was taken out by Sam Blacklock in the #215 Sqyftz Holden. His drive-through penalty dropped him to last on Lap 9.


On lap 11 Blake Purdie in the #48 Shannons Mustang took out Emily Jones in the #51 Cash Converters Mustang, dropping Jones to last, retiring shortly afterwards.


Lap 16 saw a big crash between Jobe Stewart in the #9 WD-40 Holden, Brady Meyers in the #22 Shell V-Power Mustang, Blake Purdie in the #48 Shannon's Mustang and Corey Shepard in the #718 Pioneer DJ Mustang, seeing Meyers drop into the bottom five.


Splitting Jones and Meyers was Sam Blacklock in the #215 Sqyftz Holden and Brady Meyers in the #22 Shell V-Power Mustang. Rounding out the Bottom Five was Richard Hamstead in #44 Boost Mobile Mustang and Wayne Bourke in the #89 Shannons Mustang
