First Lap contact leaves Jack LeBrocq last at Albert Park

Original by Supercars, edited by me.
Jack LeBrocq picked up the 14th last-place finish of his career when his #9 TFH/Unsecured Finance Chevrolet was involved in a 2-car crash that ended his race without completing a single lap of the final race at Albert Park. The finish came in his 213th start.

Jack LeBrocq is in his 7th full-time season and is one of the five drivers who came through in 2018 alongside Richie Stanaway, Anton De Pasquale, Todd Hazelwood and James Golding. Technically, Jack is one of only two drivers who have had a ride through his seven years, with Stanaway and Golding in their second entry into the main game, which Hazelwood was called up at the last minute to Erebus Motorsports to cover Brodie Kostecki after the latter stopped racing unexpectedly. Jack LeBrocq started at Tekno Autosports, then switched to Tickford Racing for 2020 and 2021, where he won his first race. LeBrocq then moved to Matt Stone Racing in 2022. In 2023, he won his second race before moving to Erebus Motorsports in 2024.

Andre Heimgartner in the #8 R&J Batteries Chevrolet started the race in the rear. A Did not Start for Anton De Pasquale in the #11 Shell V-Power Ford after his car suffered a right-rear Suspension failure. Mark Winterbottom in the #18 DeWalt Chevrolet fell to last, followed by Jaxon Evans in the #12 SCY Logistics Chevrolet.

Jack LeBrocq in the #9 TFH/Unsecured Finance Chevrolet had contact with Thomas Randle in the #55 Castrol Ford and Cameron Hill in the #4 Tyrepower/Supa Glass Chevrolet, breaking the steering on the car, sending him to the garage and dropping him to last.

The other retirement from this race was Cameron Hill in the #4 Tyrepower/Supa Glass Chevrolet after he was spun off the track by Ryan Wood in the #2 Truck Assist/NTI Ford. A 30-second time penalty for Ryan Wood would leave him in the bottom 5. Rounding out the Bottom Five was Bryce Fullwood in the #14 Middy’s Electrical Chevrolet after a penalty and Macauley Jones in the #96 Spongebob Squarepants/Pizza Hut Chevrolet.
