Nick Percat picked up his 1st last-place finish of his career when his #8 Coregas Holden finished under power, 3 laps down in the final race at Interlagos. The finish came in Percat's 26th start.
Jake Kostecki failed to start the previous race, and didn’t start this one, so he is excluded from last-place contention.
After winning Race 2, Anton De Pasquale in the #99 Penrite Oils Holden started the race in the rear, but several drivers exchanged last place during the early stages of the race.
For a bit it seemed like Jack Smith in the #4 SCT Logistics Holden would finish last after he was speared into the wall on lap 4 by Jack LeBrocq in the #55 Supercheap Auto Ford. He would ultimately finish 24th.
Finally, Nick Percat in the #8 Coregas Holden suddenly dropped off the track on lap 13, and dropped to the rear, and would remain there for the rest of the race.
Rounding out the Bottom Five was James Courtney in the #44 Boost Mobile Holden after trying to return to Australia on the final lap, Scott Pye in the #20 DeWalt Holden and Chris Pither in the #22 Coca-Cola Holden after lap 1 chaos.
