Toby Price picked up his 1st last-place finish of his eSeries career when his
#87 Red Bull Holden was involved in a crash that ended his race after
5 of the race's 8 laps. The finish came in Price's 2nd start.
After winning Race
1, John Steffensen in the #44 White King Holden started the race in
the rear, but after being sent 100ft into the air, Mick Doohan in the
#88 Holden/Red Bull Holden fell to the rear. Shortly afterwards Chad
Reed in the #22 Boost Mobile/Airma Ford fell to last. By the end of
lap 2 Peter Siddle in the #64 Adelaide Strikers/Hyper Stimulator Ford
had fallen to the rear, follows by Dan Reardon in the #122
Fasthouse/Monster Energy Holden fell to the rear.
After a massive
series of crashes, Greg Murphy in the #51 Sky Sport Ford, then Craig
Lowndes in the #888 Holden/Red Bull Holden fell to the rear after
getting suck in the fence between Turns 1 and 2, then Toby Price in
the #87 Red Bull Holden fell to the rear and retired on Lap 7.
Rounding out the
bottom five was Nathan Hindmarsh in the #40 Pirtek Ford, Craig
Lowndes in the #888 Red Bull Holden after getting stuck in the fence,
Greg Murphy in the #51 Team NZ Ford and Neil Crompton in the #7
Green-Eyed Monster, both after flipping.
