Jackson Walls
(#11 Objective Ford) would finish last for the 2nd time in his career. The
finish would come because of suspension failure after 50 of the race’s 60 laps.
The finish came in Walls’ 9th start.
Jackson Walls
came out of nowhere in 2018, jumping up to Formula 4. He would ascend the
Formulas until he switched to the Toyota Racing Series in 2019. He won 1 race
there, in 2020 at Pukekohe. Walls moved to Super 2 and Porsche in 2025, and SCT
Logistics Racing promoted him to the main game in 2026 when they switched
teams. He was 23rd in Practice 1. Then slipped to 24th in both Practice 2 and
Qualifying.
Jackson Walls
(#11 Objective Ford) started the race last. Macauley Jones (#96 John West
Logistics/Coregas Toyota) dropped to last by the end of Lap 1. Walls would fall
back to last on Lap 5.
Jobs Stewart (#9
Erebus Chevrolet) started drifting backwards from Lap 6. He fell behind Jones
on Lap 11 and dropped to last on Lap 12.
The first round
of pit stops started on Lap 15, with David Reynolds (#20 Snowy River Caravans
Chevrolet). Last place would cycle into Declan Fraser (#777 Isuzu/Nulon
Chevrolet) on Lap 17. Then back to Jobe Stewart (#9 Erebus Chevrolet) on lap
21.
Stewart would
hold last until the start of the second round of pit stops on Lap 34. Cameron
Hill (#14 Electro-Voice Chevrolet) would pit and drop to last.
Cooper Murray
(#99 Total Energies Chevrolet) would pit to last next, followed by Rylan Grey
(#38 Sell V-Power Ford).
Jobe Stewart (#9
Erebus Chevrolet) was next to fall to last.
Then Jackson
Walls (#11 Objective Ford) fell to last during a pit stop, followed by a Lap 50
retirement with suspension failure.
Rounding out the
bottom five was Declan Fraser (#777 Isuzu/Nulon Chevrolet). Jobe Stewart (#9
Erebus Chevrolet). Rylan Gray (#38 Shell V-Power Ford) and Cooper Murray (#99
