Jack LeBrocq is in his 7th full-time season and is one of
the five drivers who came through in 2018 alongside Richie Stanaway, Anton De
Pasquale, Todd Hazelwood and James Golding. Technically, Jack is one of only
two drivers who have had a ride through his seven years, with Stanaway and
Golding in their second entry into the main game, which Hazelwood was called up
at the last minute to Erebus Motorsports to cover Brodie Kostecki after the
latter stopped racing unexpectedly. Jack LeBrocq started at Tekno Autosports,
then switched to Tickford Racing for 2020 and 2021, where he won his first
race. LeBrocq then moved to Matt Stone Racing in 2022. In 2023, he won his
second race before moving to Erebus Motorsports in 2024.
Jaxon Evans in the #50 SCT Logistics Chevrolet started the
race in the rear. Before the end of Lap 1, Jack LeBrocq in the #9 Eleven
Workwear Chevrolet fell to last and pitted at the end of Lap 1 with a bent toe
link, losing 4 laps in repairs.
Cameron Hill in the #4 Tyrepower Chevrolet clipped the tyres
at Turn 3, then bounced and hit the fence at Turn 4 on Lap 51. He backed his
car to Turn 4 and rejoined the circuit safely, but the damage from the crash
would cause him to drop through the field to finish 23rd, only 1 lap ahead of
LeBrocq.
Ryan Wood in the #2 Mobil 1/Truck Assist Ford had a very
slow 2nd pitstop on Lap 54 and copped a Pit-Lane Drive Through Penalty for
eight straight-line through the chicanes at Turns 7-10 on Lap 52.
Bryce Fullwood in the #14 Middy's Electrical Chevrolet
crashed at Turn 11 on Lap 75 but managed to keep going. Splitting Wood and
Fullwood was Aaron Love in the #3 Cooldrive Distribution Ford.
