Jack Smith is in his first full-time season, after a partial season last year. He was 5th out of 6 in the Rookie Practice Session, and 12th in Practice 1, but slid to 18th in Practice 2. He slid further to last in Qualifying.
Jack Smith in the #4 SCT Logistics Holden started the race in the rear, and held last until pitstops begin on lap 5, where Bryce Fullwood in the #2 Middy's Electrical Holden pitted and dropped to the rear, followed by Macauley Jones in the #3 Cooldrive Distribution Holden after putting on lap 8. Jack Smith in the #4 SCT Logistics Holden returned to last by the time Pitstops were completed. Smith held last for the remainder of the race.
Rounding out the bottom five was Macauley Jones in the #3 Cooldrive Distribution Holden, Jake Kostecki in the #34 UNIT Holden, Chris Pither in the #22 Coca-Cola Holden and Todd Hazelwood in the #14 Brut Max Defence/R&J Batteries.
