Todd
Kelly picked up his 3rd last-place finish at Albert Park
when his #7 Carsales.com Nissan retired with Engine issues before the
start of the third race at Albert Park.
Just
before the start of the race Todd Kelly’s #7 Carsales.com Nissan
started billowing smoke out of the back of the #7, and as the rest of
the field started the race Todd Kelly was in the garage.
Next
to fall out was Jason Bright in the #8 BOC Holden who after running
wide on the second lap tangled with Andre Heimgartner in the #3 SP
Tools/Torini Holden, James Moffat
in the #34 Valvoline/Wilson Security Volvo and Dale Wood in
the #96 GB Galvanising/ADVAM Nissan severely damaging both cars #8
and #34, putting Bright out of the race and both Bright and Moffat in
the bottom five.
Splitting
Bright and Moffat in the final order was the final car out of the
race, Scott McLaughlin in the #33 Valvoline/Wilson Security Volvo
after a sudden loss of Oil Pressure caused him to spear off the road on lap 6.
Rounding out the bottom five was Cameron Waters in the #6 Monster
Energy/Castrol Ford after a Drive-through penalty for contact with
Will Dasvison in the #19 Darrell Lea STIX Holden.
