Bryce Fullwood (#14 Mr Umami Chevrolet) picked up the 7th last-place finish of his career after finishing under power, on the lead lap in the last race at Taupō. The finish came in Fullwood’s 194th start.
Bryce Fullwood is n his 6th full-time season, and his best results have been 3rd, one at The Bend Motorsport Park in 2020 and a Symmonds Plains in 2024. Fullwood would debut for Walkinshaw Andretti United in 2020, and remained for 2 years. Fullwood would switch to Brad Jones Racing in 2022. He was 17th in Practice 1. Then jumped to 8th in Practice 2. Fullwood slid to 21st in Qualifying.
Aaron Cameron (#3 Cooldrive Distribution Ford) started last. At Turn 1 Chaz Mostert (#25 Mobil 1/Optus Ford) turned Kai Allen (#26 Penrite Oils Ford), relegating Allen to last. Allen would pass Aaron Cameron on Lap 3. David Reynolds (#20 Tradie Chevrolet) fell to last by Lap 5. Reynolds would pass Cameron again on Lap 6.
Macauley Jones (#96 Wendy Chevrolet) and Cameron Waters (#6 Monster Energy Ford) collided at Turn 9 on Lap 11, sending Jones into the sand and relegating him to last.
Pit Stops started on Lap 12 with Will Brown (#88 Red Bull/Ampol) spitting and falling to last. Percat (#10 Bendix/Supaglass Chevrolet) pitted on Lap 13 and fell behind Brown. Courtney then pitted on Lap 18, followed by Cameron on Lap 19. Jones would pit on Lap 21 and return to last. Jones would overtake Allen on Lap 28. However, Allen had fallen to last because of contact with Cameron.
Lap 36 saw the second round of pit stops start with Bryce Fullwood (#14 Mr Umami Chevrolet) pitted with a steering issue, dropping to last, but remained on the lead lap. Fullwood would remain last for the rest of the race.
Nick Percat (#10 Bendix/Supaglass Chevrolet), Aaron Cameron (#3 Cooldrive Distribution Ford), James Courtney (#7 Snowy River Caravans) and Macauley Jones (#96 Wendy’s Chevrolet) completed the bottom five.
