The Big one at the first corner, involving James Davison in the #15 Greatest Generation Chevrolet, Garrett Smithley in the #51 Nurtec COF Chevrolet, Kurt Kostecki in the #35 Yellow Cover Chevrolet, Justin Ruggier in the #88 Cash Convertor's Mustang, Sam Brabham in the #10 Repco Mustang, Cameron Waters in the #6 Monster Energy Ford, Andre Heimgartner in the #7 NED Mustang and Chaz Mostert in the #25 Appliances Online Chevrolet, leaving Mostert in the last place.
Lap 16 saw Richie Stanaway in the #62 Are you our wildcard driver? Chevrolet retire with a netcode disconnection, sending him to last.
Following Stanaway out was Chaz Mostert in the #25 Appliances Online Chevrolet, who retired lap 24, followed by Matthew Payne in the #3 Cooldrive Distribution Mustang, who retired after the third crash of the race on lap 25. Rounding out the Bottom Five was Zak Best in the #27 Shannons Mustang and Tony D’Alberto in the #923 Logitech G Chevrolet
