First Lap Carnage leaves Golding last at Montreal

James Golding picked up his 1st last-place finish of his Repco eSeries career when his #440 Siochrome Holden was taken out in a multi-car crash without completing a single lap of the race at Montreal. The finish came in Golding's 4th start.

James Golding in the #440 Siochrome Holden started the race in the rear, but by Turn 4 Ben Smith in the #151 Castrol/LG Ford fell to the rear. Sam Blacklock in the #17 Shell V-Power Ford fell to the rear shortly afterwards.

Lap 1 pitstops saw James Golding in the #440 Siochrome Holden fell to the rear during Lap 2,

Multiple drivers fell to the rear of the field, including Golding, Josh Muggleton in the #81 Shure Ford and Blacklock, who all had issues during the race, along with Jobe Stewart in the #999 Penrite Holden and Fawzan El-Nabi in the #98 BP Ultimate Holden. All five cars were damaged in early race carnage.


The order was James Golding in the #440 Siochrome Holden, Sam Blackloc in the #17 Shell V-Power Ford, Jobe Stewart in the #999 Penrite Holden, Fawzan El-Nabi in the #98 BP Ultimate Holden and Josh Muggleton in the #81 Shure Ford.
